Good Diesel Shop in Central Texas

Trying to put my finger on my problem and looking for a good shop to do it at. I live in Belton, Texas.

"P1316 - IDM codes detected. This can be several things. The main thing is you still have more codes to pull, but they are stored in the IDM itself. Your Superchip tuner cannot retrieve them. You must have a diagnostic tool that can peform an injector buzz test to pull the IDM codes. The cause of these codes can be something as simple as a loose UVC harness clip, or you could have bad injectors or a bad IDM. By pulling the IDM codes, it will point you exactly which injector or bank of injectors is having the issue."

Any info is appreciated.

Check your injector wiring under the valve covers.

This might be a dumb question but do you have to put anything like a new seal or sealant on the valve cover once you have taken it off?

No, there is an o-ring type seal all the way around the VC gasket. It's reusable.
However, when mine went out, there was a burned pin and the whole thing had to be replaced to fix the problem.
I've had the VC's off and then back on again couple of times since then and no leaks at all.
