my truck is a 68 f100, 2wd, 360ci. , 3 on the tree..... while driving down the road in 3rd gear i hear a grinding/ screatching sound that comes and goes(kinda sounds like you are trying to start the engine while it's already running, but it's not that.)..... it's very loud. is it possible that i need to adjust my shift linkages, because maybe my third gear linkage is either not engaging enough, or engaging too much? should i change the fluid in my transmission? has anyone had any similar problems? thanks guys. -tony
