Help changing tranny fluid???
So I bought a new filter and some new fluid the other day with the intent to change my transmission fluid. After I got to thinking about it I realized that I didn't know the torque settings for the pan bolts and how to install the filter...basically I've never done it before...is it really that hard? My truck has 88,000 miles on and the fluid has never been flushed so I was told not to flush it, just to change the fluid. Another question....can you use plain mercon or do you have to use mercon 5 like the old psd's???

This is the method I used over a year ago. It's time comsuming, but stright-forward. No problems whatsoever since the fluid/filter change.
