Donahoe Racing uses the Deaver spring, and is one of the best on the market. Nothing bad to say about anything in the DR product line.
I have run BDS springs, and actually still do. I still use some 6" units on my 75 (yeah they fit), used to run them on my Super Duty. I would run them again over a pro-comp, or just about any over the counter spring. I would not rank them over the DR spring though.
Actually Donahoe Racing now utilizes their own proprietary springs. These feature reduced spring rates with lower overload springs, larger spring bushings, and galvanized leaf separators. These are the best riding springs available. As with all DR products these are made 100% in the USA and are backed by a lifetime warranty.
While DR is better, if you go with a BDS kit with the upgraded shocks ( I have a 4" BDS kit ) it doesn't ride that bad, better than stock... not DR. It is only $1000 for the BDS kit... $1200 with upgraded shocks. Pics are in my gallery.
I have a 6" BDS with 36" tires. I went with the rear leaves instead of a block and it rides pretty stiff because of that. The front wheels seem to rub some on the edge of the wheel well towards the cab at full turn while hitting a bump, i believe its more the tires than anything. The lift does give the truck a great stance and performs well offroad too.
i have a BDS 8 inch all spring with dual bilsteins rides a little stiffer since adding the extra shock but BDS sells high quality stuff and there warranty is second to none i would buy from them again in a heart beat
