Question Crossmember bolts

I am trying to drop the tranny and transfercase from my; 1979 F-150, 4x4, NP 435 4 speed, NP 205 transfercase. i have gotte all of the bell houseing bolts and transfer case bolts out and now i am trying to get the 4 cross member bolts that run threw the top of the frame down threw the cross member out the heads of the bolts hit the bottom of the cab and i dont want to take the cab mounts loose to lift the cab just to take these four bolts out. Has anyone found a trick other than a blue tip wrench (cutting torch) or a sawsall to cut the tops of the bolts off and then just but the bolts back in the other way with the nuts on top of the frame?

any help would be greatly apprciated.

Get a prybar and pry up on the floor enough to get a wrench to hold the bolt head.Use a swivel socket to get to the nuts under the frame. There also might be a third sheetmetal screw in the middle of the two bolts,if it has never been removed before
I hope this helps....

Your going to have more trouble trying to put it all back together if you take the cross member out . unless your changing the cross member or working on the frame leave it in... its better to drop transfer case and then trans... you cant put it up as one when time to .. step by step ,piece by piece YOU THINK IT'S HARD NOW?
