'70 f-100

Trying to build truck on a budget. Is there a limited slip diff, I could swap in from another truck. maybe from a 4x4

You have a 9" drop out carrier diff, right? If so, you can get those at the scrappy (getting a little hard to find) for $50 if you don't mind it whining, or outright from many sources.

Here's a supplier, may or may not fit the budget.

thanks guys for the anwsers. sorry for the late replay. 85e150six4mtod is the something I should lookfor at the scrapyard, really wouldnt mind the whining, exhoust is pretty loud.

All 9 inch rear axles originally had a tag on the rear axle that defined the ratio. The tag was under the head of one of the bolts the carrier (Pumpkin) was held on with. If the truck had a limited slip rear axle, a second tag was placed near the first. The second tag has a L on it, signifying LIMITED SLIP. Most of the tag(s) are now missing, so without it, there's no way to tell what's in there.
