92 f150 302 electrical problems when warm

Been wrastlin with this for awhile...thought someone might have an idea. Truck was running great -- went to gas station, when I went to leave truck would start but not stay running. Attributed it to no spark -- replaced the pickup (actually got a new distributor), coil, distributor module. Nothing. Then found out the EEC and fuel pump relays had a bad ground -- rigged a new ground up for them. Checked the EEC and fuel pump relays after that and they are fine --- truck will now start up, run for a few minutes, then the check engine lite will kick on and off as it sputters, then finally dies. If you let it cool, it will start up again but does the same thing after a few minutes. Checked spark at this point and it seems to fire intermittently when the truck is warm. The fact that the EEC and fuel pump relays had a bad ground makes me suspect something else may as well, but I dont really know...any ideas would be greatly appreciated !

Thanks

Just a thought. Do you still have old distributor and parts thereof?? Have you thought about the ground was the culprit and the dist. and parts were fine. then when you changed to new you got one of those sure to exist,,, bad parts out of the box. So you swapped good parts for bad and extended the problem after you fixed the real problem of bad ground.

I would try and replace those parts with the old and see what happens,,,cant cost much!! It sure isnt working this way!!-d-

Unfortunately I had to turn in the old dist. as a core so I dont have that to test. Maybe if I cant isolate it elsewhere Ill take it to get tested -- I dont think it is the distributor though
