Need New Tires

I have read all the post about tires, but I haven't found anything that list my specific truck. I have a '06 F250 SRW 4x4 that has the stock 265/70/R17 tires. They are load range E.

I would like to move up to 285/70/R17 and I believe that Toyo and Nitto both make tires in that size that are load range E.

My questions are, will I have any trouble with the 285s and could I possibly go with 305s? I pull a small travel travel that full loaded is less than 5500 pounds but I really want to stay with load range E.

Will I have any rubbing with the 285s or 305s and does anyone have any experience with either of these tires. Which would look best on the stock rims?

Thanks in advance!

Your factory tires are
265/70Rx17E 121R (31.4diameter x 10.8wide 3195 @80 Psi) 660Revs

Your truck was also available from the factory with
275/70Rx18E 125S (33.27diameter x 10.94wide 3640lb @ 80Psi)
or
275/65Rx20E 126R (34.09diameter x 10.98wide 3750lb @ 80Psi)

So to install 285/70Rx17E 126R (32.76diameter x 11.50 wide 3750lb @80Psi) 635Revs
Should not pose any problems. Only thing you will need to do is have the computer reprogrammed for the correct Revs per mile so Speedo is correct.

Hope this helps
