I believe a company named PIE makes an adapter that will connect up to your stock radio to provide an AUX function.

Welcome to FTE.

Edit: Look here http://www.logjamelectronics.com/

Think this is the one you need http://www.logjamelectronics.com/piefrd04aux.html

I installed the frd04-aux from PIE for my Ipod and it worked for about a year. Now I only get sound from the right channel of my speakers when using my ipod. Instead of buying another converter for $99 I just ordered a new Pioneer headunit with aux in for about the same price as the converter.

I also read some posts from the forums on the PIE website and it sounds like others are having similar problems if not worse with the frd04-aux adapter.

I have had my PIE installed for about three weeks and no problem yet. I use the RCA cables that have the headphone plug at one end for my I-Pod, that way if I get SAT radio I don't have to get another adaptor.

Ya, they admit on the site that it had some problems early on, but that they had fixed it

"Logjam Comments:"This device had some problems when it was first introduced in September '05 but those issues were resolved with the two firmware updates that followed. The device continues to be a strong seller and is the still only successful Ford 'CAN-Bus' interface that we know of out there on the market." "

FredBear - I'm considering this unit for my 04 150 given the Brandmotion doesn't work with the older radios. Does this unit allow you to control the IPOD on the stereo or is the control required at the IPOD level? Does it charge the IPOD? Where did you route your docking port? I want to custom build a dock into the existing ash tray, curious if this solution would work.

Thanks for the info
