Thanks for the links. The two-speed nature of the screw-gun and the fact that they mention both dry-wall & decking removes a lot of my reservations. The screw-gun I used was very obviously a fast tool designed for one purpose and was not useful for much else. Because you have a lot of decking & dry-wall to do, the automatic depth control will make the tedious job go a little faster.
(Too bad they aren't offering you one with automatic screw feeding!)

Well, if the decking and sheetrock is a one time thing, I would say the impact would be a better choice. Screw guns have very little use other than the 2 affore mentioned projects. A 3/8" impact would be a little more practicle as far as around the house or garage. They work great for valve covers or cam/base doors on the engines we work on. Just about every Cat mechanic has one on the truck.

Not for what I paid for the set of tools, but then I did get $175 off the price due to the "tent sale" special event and this "free" tool to go along with it.

I was going to the local Home Box store to pick up a new set of Rigid tools. Due to the specials ended up with a bigger set of DeWALT tools. Now at least there won't be any confusion with my friend's tools but then we won't be able to swap batteries either. I picked up a diamond blade for the cutoff tool also.
One thing the hammer drill did not have was a depth stop rod. Made one out of a piece of 1/4" stock I had sitting around tho. There was already a place to mount it in the handle.
I am thinking about picking up an LED replacement bulb for the work light. The standard incandescent bulbs burn out quickly, are easily damaged if bumped, and are costly. The LED bulb costs a bit tho... Ebay item number: 300091814641 I can always keep an incandescent bulb in the spare bulb holder.
