please explain to me why then the ford dealership would give us one to replace the one on our pickup. it is a diesel. does that make a difference? they said that this would take of the problem with the speedometer and electronic locks

is it a electronic part they gave you?the only thing i can think of that would have any thing to do with the speedo would be a speed sensor.i'm no mechanic but can't think of why this would have any thing to do with the door locks.
if you have the new part have you tried matching it up to parts on your truck?
