Is there any way to purchase an original tire cover for a '93 Bronco? I found tire-covers.com, but I'd really like a new one instead of a refurbished one. Any help would be appreciated.
yo,
i guess you know by now that Ford sells them for ~$125.00 to $225. Mine was ruined in a rear-ender 3 yrs ago and the body shop bought it from the local dealer for about 125.
I wonder why Ford holds the prices up on these? I've been trying to find lists of Ford's parts suppliers for years now. I'm used to the military way of having (and requiring the suppliers to provide) spare parts break-out lists (APLs and AELs/tech manuals).
I bought a generic (no logo) one from Summit Racing for about $20 to $25. It's got a leather-like vinyl finish, and I couldn't be happier. The elastic has held up like new.
I have purchased a couple of Bestop tire covers over the years for my Jeeps, and now I have one on the Bronco. I couldn't be happier. I like it better than the stock EB tire cover. It fits and looks better in my opinion. Plus, they are about $25 or so.
I agree. I should have given the name..... the one I bought from Summit was also a Bestop. (I used the term "generic" to imply that it lacked that $100.00 bucking horse!)
You should just follow me around for a day or so--evidently there is a market for them since mine on my EB has been stolen twice. Just wait for the a-hole to steal mine and you can probably by it for cheap.
I think so. The implications are there, but the message is censor-friendly ! Ah, the things marketing can get away with. Remember that several hundred dollar screaming chicken hood decal you could get as an option on the older Firebirds?
Has anyone bought an extra rim and wheel to match what is on the vehicle and keep it uncovered - I've never seen this on a Bronco???
Might look really nice.
