My '92 Bronco XLT has an inside spare tire rack. I prefer to have an external rack and have been told that mounting a stock rack on the corner of the rear quarter panel is not recommended since the area is not strengthened. Any thoughts?
Also, I have been unsuccessful in finding any aftermarket rack or bumper/rack combo. Any suggestions here? Thanks.
I have both on my 89, so I opted for the external mount. To me its just not quite a Bronco unless the tire is on the back, LOL! If you already have bolts where an external mount would go you should be okay, if not best stick with the internal mount. I got my external tire mount from a junk yard.
