Changing heads, have question

I am considering a swap to GT40p heads on my '96. I already have two sets of these heads and the truck could use a power increase. I will be doing the heads adding 1.7 roller rockers and the exhaust.

My question is is it worth the time and expense to change the Intake to one from an Explorer? I have heard the stock truck intake flows well but I am not totally sure on this. this would require me to get the Intake(i got greedy and sold it on Ebay), throttle body and spacer, and re-plum the tubing to accomodate the Mass Air.

The stock 5.0L truck intake flows very well. No need for the explorer intake. The long runners on the upper plenum feed the motor more than adequately and will work well with the new heads. If you want to upgrade the intake and heads in combination, pick up a set from TFS.

Ditch the TB spacer. On most applications, it can constrict flow. The spacer creates a lip adjacent to the TB, thus limiting the diameter. $100 paper weight. The spacer is only worthy on non EFI applications.
