idle problem

Hey i am new to the site but i have been reading some posts and sounds like yall have a little knowledge about this stuff. So my 92 idles at 2500 rpm and i don't know what to do about it, idle adjustmen t screw is all the way in it doesn't even touch. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Smittybilt 92.... first try and take the TP sensor up to the auto parts store and have them test it , bad news is that you moved the idel screw and that is a pain in the butt to reset it ..... also setting the TP ( throttle postion sensor ) is also not that fun some guys say all you have to do is just slap it on but that is not the case......we just put 5.0 in a Bronco II and had to set every thing if it ain't the TP more them likely it is a Intake Leak.....you did try and make sure that the throtle body butterfly was not stuck ?? right ...

I had that same problem. It turned out my throttle position sensor was bad. Pull your codes or get the haynes manual and test it as it tell you to. Mine failed the haynes manual test and threw up a code indicating it was bad. I'd say checking your codes is the easiest route and the first thing you should do.

allright well i appreciate the help i will run the codes for tsp and we'll see what happens.
