Cool strange noise in engine

My 2004 f250 v10 has a strange drumming or droning noise it is hard to here it but if you listen close you can here it in the engine. It runs perfect and only has 16000 miles. The dealer said it is nothing to worry about . Does anybody no what this noise might be .It does it even after it is up to running tempature. Some friends say that they dont here it but i do. Thank you for any help.

Could it be because it is a V10 they they sound crazy to begin with?

I WAS wondering if maybe all v10s were a little noisy but i have not been around many of them. The noise has been there for around 15000 miles and has not changed or got any worse.

If it happens between 1500 and 2000 RPM then I will bet it is the transmission inspection cover rattling. Or a heat shield that has cracked a weld.

If it's like mine then it's more whine/drone than rattle. I snugged up my inspection cover and checked welds on heat sheilds. The sound is still there.
