automatic overdrive question
MY 2004F250 AUTOMATIC WONT GO INTO OVERDRIVE when its cold 32 or below outside. if i drive about 6 miles then it will shift into overdrive. it works fine in hotter weather. i only have 16000 miles on it. is there something wrong or is this normal. it has been this way since it was new.

I'm guessing your '04 tansmission acts the same as my '02 transmission. It's really the torque converter not locking until the cold fluid gets a little heat into it. When it heats up a little the computer will let it lock. This is normal.
