Start, runs and stops????

Hi, my 7.3 cranks, starts and runs for a second, then stops. That's it. Just started happening today, cranks slow, but batteries seem ok, but not sure how old they are....just bought the truck a month ago.
The Tach DOES operate while cranking, AND running for the short time, so I don't think it's the CPS right?....is battery voltage critical?? Thanks

you check the oil yet???? just a good starting point if nothing else

Did I check the oil??? For a short run, shut down condition?? The oil was changed last week and is fine.

Check oil level in the HPOP resivoir.. Mine needs additional every 2 weeks or it does what yours is doing.

Charged the batteries, and she started and ran great...guess I know what I be doing tomorrow.
