76 Supercab Inline Six - Carb Questions
Working on a 76 Supercab 2wd, with the carbed 300 six. I'm in the process of replacing the carburetor with a newer reman'd Holley (still a Carter/Motorcraft carb, though) and I've noticed two distinctly different choke setups. The one on my old carb looks like this, I'm thinking it a heated choke:

And the new carb looks like this, possibly vacuum operated?

My questions are:
1. What are the two different choke setups I've got pictured here?
2. How do I hook up the setup on the new one? I never had a choke hooked up on the old one - there was no electrical wire hooked to it. I'm assuming the new one is a hybrid of vacuum and choke...but these are just hunches.
Thanks!
Justin
New one = Electric / Vacuum operated Choke pull-down.
The new one is already hooked up to the nipple at the back of the carb.
See Figure #27 on this page.

I should plug the heated choke pipe fitting on the manifold that was used with the old carb, and hook up an electrical lead to the new choke, and al should be fine, eh?
What kind of voltage does the electric choke require? What is it hooked up with in its stock setup?
Thanks!
(sorry if the pics are being weird...seems there's a server issue at my ISP temporarily)
