help! what to look for?
I'm about to get my first X- soooo happy! its an 03 EB with the 6.0 ( i know- I'll get the oasis). what I need help with is how a diesel feels- I never drove one before. What should the shifts feel like? The sound, etc. I know it was well taken care of- I just haven't got the oasis yet to see if it had issues. Also they are asking $26900 which I though was fair? what do you think? (if they do the tires and brakes- they'll jack up the price)

Shifts should be smooth but noticeable. Not sluggish or mushy feeling. Although with the 03 6.0L, the tranny is the LEAST of your worries. Get the OASIS, definantly.
Don't expect gas engine like take-off. You kinda gotta mash the thing to get it moving from a stop. It should stay smooth all the way up to redline.
