Wheel Size Question
I want to get some new wheels for my '06 F350 SRW. I've been running studded pie cutters all winter on the stock rims. Rather than swap tires on rims 2x per year I'm going to get some rims to put my summer mud tires on. My summer tires are 325/60/18's Baja MTZs. I ran them last year on the stock rims and they were excellent.
I'm looking for a slightly wider wheel so the wide tires will fit a bit better. I've read many of the posts here, but haven't seen any firm conclusions on what fits these trucks. My truck isn't lifted, and I don't plan to lift it. I found some AR Chambers in a 18x9.5 which look like they might be pretty good but I wonder if they'll stick out too far. The backspace on those is 5.5" and the offset is 6mm. I think the stocks are 18x8, with a 6" backspace. Anybody know if that is correct? My figuring puts the offset of the stocks at about 41mm. By my reckoning, the 18x9.5's will stick out about 2+ inches farther than stock. I wonder if that'll look OK. (And if I did the math correctly.)
