Hi all
Hello there
I am new to the site and have decide to build my 65' short wide for the second time. I will post pics and a description of what I started with 14 years ago. This was my first project and was done mostly by trial & error, and a lot of tech. articles. I purchased the truck in 1992 for a first truck with the little money that I had. Build 1 took place over the next 3 years. This included: 4" drop I-Beams, 3" drop in rear with single leaf, rebuild drums(didn't have the internet to look up a disk swap article back then), body and paint(charocal), roll pan, power steering, recovered seat, Autometer gauges, carpet, headliner, gas tank cover,floor shifter,rebuilt 3 speed tranny, and tilt column. Motor rebuild included: 302 block w/351 heads, rocker rollers, cam, oil pump that locked up driving down the highway, 2nd oil pump that locked up after about 10 minutes(bad luck), dress up kit, ect. Build #2 which I hope doesn,t take 3 more years has just begun. I have gotten the ok from my loving wife and started the planning. I will add pics to my gallery of the original state and of build 1.
