Idle adjustment

Well the new/rebuilt motor I now have in my 98' is running good. I do notice that the engine idles lower than it did before. It used to idle around 1K but now it's closer to 850-900rpm. This is OK until I hit my AC. When I come to a stop with the AC on, it drops very low and the engine comes close to stopping. The Haynes or Chiltons state that the idle is electronically controlled and can't be adjusted? Is this true? If not please tell me how to do this. San Antonio gets very hot in the summer!!! Thanks.

Dale,
There is no mechanical adjustment for the idle.
The IAC might be dirty / partial clogged. Did you clean it or replace it when you rebuilt your engine?

hi, my engine when hot ticks over at 600 rpm and never stalls. thats on lpg and petrol.
