I will be using a custom tune probably and will be yielding more than any stock tuner... And a cold air kit will not give you 20 hp more like 10 at peak ... and the exaust would be lucky to make 5.... my edge is probably gives me 20 hp and 25-30 ft lbs... and since i will be using an chassie dyno i will be able to fine tune the system with the intake and exaust... so 300 hp at the crank isnt to far off....

I have an 01 Ford F150 Screw 4x4 with the 5.4L in it and I have done some mods to mine.
I have the K&N FIPK on mine, I got it off ebay for $200 shipped. Then I went with a Magnaflow stainless muffler and had it exit out the side like a lightning, that was around $300. I found a FREE throttle body spacer and threw it on and I didnt notice much with that. I just threw on the Edge Evo and it is nuts. I might be right at 300hp if Im lucky.

did the edge really wake it up that much? ive been looking at tuners and just dont know if i want to spend the 3-400 buckson one. i do like that edge though. they say its like 15-20 hp gain.. i already have kn intake and magnaflow exhaust and wanted to complete the mods with a chip but like i said not sure ive heard both good and bad

To get 300hp at the crank... You can do: tuner, exhaust, headers, and a CAI. Thats good for about 300-305hp at the crank.

I mainly got the Edgo Evo to monitor MPG and TFT. I tow a lot in excess of 4k pounds and I wanted to keep the tranny protected as much as possible. I average around 14-18MPG, that's in town and highway driving. The worst tank was towing 4k pounds 120 miles averaging around 9.5MPG. My dads 06 F150 4x4 Screw with the 5.4 got less then that. Something like 8.9MPG.

An adapter for the 5.4 which will allow you to mate a 4.6 mustang gt intake to is available. And with a custom tune and full exhaust you should be able to easily reach 330-350 flywheel hp. The massive stoppage in these trucks is there intake. Call Reichard Racing and they'll make you an adapter, there number is 410-610-5567.
