Wiper Switch

Hey guys,
The wiper switch in my 65/F350/352 is acting up. I have power to both speeds for my wipers, but how do you make fluid spray to the windshield, do you pull the ****? the owner's manual says there is a push pedal on the floor that you push to get fluid to spray on the windshield, so what is supposed to happen when you pull the ****, anything? Since i got it, i haven't known, one mystery after another, but i still love it. I got under the dash, on the back side of the switch there are two male prongs that are not hooked up to any wires, so i put the test light on those prongs and got nothing... any idea if i should be getting any juice or should i just go ahead and install a push button to operate the spray? thanks guys, you're a great help to a 16 year old with his first slick...thanks

Do you have a button above the ignition switch? I beleive that is for the spray if you have one. Tom

As stated buy tomrooster-1 you should have a push button for your sprayer I did not have one in my 64 because the washer bag and button were not available in 64 (I think) but I have one now, the push button I mean, I use it for my big rig air horn I don't have a horn ring on my steering wheel but I do like using slick ford parts when possible.

Three types of windshield washers were used in 1965/66, only one was factory installed. Windshield washers were an accessory then, they didn't come standard.

Type #1~Factory installed, activated by a push button above the ignition switch.

Type #2~Dealer add on accessory, uses a foot pump mounted on the toe board (firewall), electrically operated. A gentle touch to the pedal activates the motor.

Type #3~Dealer add on accessory, similiar to type #2, except manually operated (not electric). You need to pump the pedal to activate it.

All three systems use a washer bag mounted to the right fender inner apron, the motor is either on the firewall, or on the apron.

Hey ND, wouldn't that be the left inner fender? or are you looking from the front of the engine compartment?
