well, the leader of the apprenticeship pgrm says that if I can prove my experience that he can credit me the time I can Prove. That means I would not have to go thru the application process. I would skip the testing and going against 200 other guys. That would start me as a 2nd year fitter. Which would be good since an apprentice only makes like 15.00 an hour. I have an appt to talk to my boss at 11 am to give him my two weeks at which point he will either try to entice me to stay with money or will tell me to get the f out of his office. It will be the first one though. He already knows I want to leave and unless he gives me a company van and fuel card for personal use, I am gone. Not that its an ultimatum but it costs me 800 a month to drive there plus wear and tear on the truck. That is my main reason for leaving but not the only one.

Check into L@I... They are changing requirements all the time. The 2006 UPC is supposed to become effective in Jul 07, but they can't tell me if the test is going to change also.

well, I am going to hold off for a while. I had a little meeting with the boss today. he Knew what was coming and had a meeting with the GM and the sales man in my division. After I told them why I wanted to leave he already had the rebound shot. I wanted to leave because of the commute length and the ammount of wear and tear and gas. He came back with an offer of using my company vehicle and gas card for personal use and to commute in. Also offered me to work out of a branch 20 miles closer to home and pick my hours. I told him I would think about it and get back to him Monday. think I want to stay... There is alot of potential for money and growth. By the way.. My work rigs are a 2007 F250 SD standard cab 4X4 5.4 Triton and a 2006 E250 Ex cargo Van 4.6L So not too bad of choices to drive.
