I agree with that. I just don't find that an FX2 sticker falls within the same type of reasoning. Both trucks are basically the same animal.

Yikes! I think I opened a can of worms with my post. LOL Anyways, I'm just going to do what I want and not worry about others. I asked for opinions and I got what I asked for. Thanks for all your replies.

mbogosia,
Put whatever the h ell you want to on your truck! its not like your putting a 4x4 sticker on it, that would make you a poser. Or, putting a triton 5.4 badge on a v6 would make you a poser. But its just an STX to an FX2, who cares. Plus, you probably shouldn't care about the opinon of a person who will "inspect" your truck to try and find "flaws".
Most of the time people like that have inadequacies of there own and just like to make other people feel inadequate also. Its your truck, do what ya want. But watch out, you might have a real FX2 pull up next to you one day and have..........absolutely nothing happen. Just joking around with ya 455 jet. I do agree with your mustang example, I just don't think that this is the same thing. I had a friend who put SS stickers on his V6 chev, he is a poser.

Poser...Don't forget the fuzzy dice and neon lights under it.

I knew a guy who had a 2.8L Camaro (I know---I used to be a chevy guy too, but converted) and put Z-28 stickers on it with ground effects and aftermarket wheels. I happened to have a Camaro with the 5.0L Z-28 engine in it and refused to put the silly stickers on it..put that money into a new intake, custom mandrel bent exhaust and headers, ignition system upgrades, etc.....being a sleeper was cool. To make it a short story, a girl we both knew said we should race and she'd date the winner (cause she liked him and thought his "Z-28" was faster I assume).....guess who got his doors blown off for being a poser...the best was the look on his face when I drove off with her.

Nothing wrong with putting stickers on your truck I guess, but anyone who knows anything about F-150s is gonna think you are some kind of weirdo IMO.

For the record, my vote is poser, with the caveat that if he wants to do it, fine it's his truck.

However, I saw a Ranger two days ago, I remember it well. It was a white baser XL, 2wd, base steel rims et al, with the F150 "FX4" big stickers on the bed. Now THAT's funny right there. No need to be so obvious.

There is a guy in town with a ford ranger and he has put the power stroke badge on both sides of his truck. He obviously has a sense of humor Can you just order those things from Ford or what?

There is a guy on another F150 messageboard that I frequent that had some custom FX2 badges made for his truck back in Jan 06.Long before Ford even made an FX2.
Maybe Ford stole his idea.
Check THIS out.

WAIT, I must be confused here. I thought that the FX2 was just a 2wd version of the FX4. I was hoping the sticker would say FX2/Offroad. LOL I think what I need is a STX sticker that just has some color in it like the FX4, or I just keep it with no decals.

Actually, I read that the FX2 is based on a 2wd XLT.
The guy that made his own decals ,his say FX2 Street the real Ford FX2 decals say FX2 Sport.

Hmmm, that won't do it. If I am going down as a poser it has to at least say offroad somewhere. I guess its back to the drawing board.
