h,or x, cross over

hey can any one tell me what is better an h, or x, cross over in dual exhaust sytem for a 79 Bronco with a soon to be well built 400. And exactly where in the system doese it go.

h,or x, cross over

On a '79 Bronco i would run straight duals, no cross overs, 4 cylinders on one side and 4 cylinders on the other, straight out the back. Of coarse you would have too miss the front drive shaft. Thats how i would do it, anyway. Rob

h,or x, cross over

Any cross over will help scavage the tubes as long as it is within the first third of the exhaust system. A crossover too far to the rear would not help as much. Depends on what the desired effect for the 400 is? Low end tourque (recommend the crossover) or top end speed (where the crossover will have less effect)

If you run exhaust straight out the back on a Bronco fumes in the rear window wil be a problem. May be much better to run pipes out side just in front of rear tires.
