DP problems....cable?

DP problems....cable?
in the past few days my chip has been giving me some guff. I hit a bum goin onto the bridge and all the lights on the dash came on wait to start SES ect..and I lost my power. and then today I started my truck up in the 80 like always and it was idling normal and would blip to 1000 rpm for a second on its own, and when it was still coldish the chip was turning on and off and actin a foo. once it was warm it seemed to be fine. is this the old cable actin up?

Did you put the new cable on? Was/is the chip taped in tight with duct tape?

Seriously, I think we are waiting to see how it does once you change the cable and tape the chip in like THIS .
