boost problems
A couple of months ago, i got my chip from Jody and cleaned and tightened my IC boots. I was getting about 28lbs of boost. When I did my clutch about a month ago I put up-pipe gaskets on it. Last few weeks I've been noticing that it wont usually get above 15lbs. Sometimes, especially on cool mornings, it will hit 25lbs, but not very often. Tonight I retightened all of my IC boots, even the orange ones on the intake, and I unplugged the wastegate and capped off the line. Still wont get much over 15. Any ideas? Also, if the wastegate is disabled, is it still possible for it to leak boost if it's weak or something?

I just looked at them a little while ago, and they're not black at all up at the top where the donuts are. The driver side had a very small black spot on it down at the bottom, but didnt seem like it'd be enough to reduce boost that much. Back when I was seeing 28lbs, the up-pipes were leaking a lot worse than this.

It's about $60 but all you need to do is hook it up to a compressor add @ 10 lbs of pressure and you will hear were the boost leak is coming from.

Well I've been paying closer attention, and it definitly is making more boost when the outside air temperature is cold. It doesnt matter if the trucks warmed up or not. It seems like if its about 40 degrees or up it will only make 15lbs. If its less than 40 it'll go on up to 22-25.
