looking at a 2006 explorer advice..

I've got my sales person looking for an 2006 explorer EB or limited, 4.6 V8 etc.
I have gotten all my explorers from him, my 1999 V8 eddie and my current 2003 V8 eddie. My ? is anything I need to look out for, any issues with certian rear gearing and the new 3 valve 8 ? I pretty much learned the ins and outs of the 03 thru 05's not to familiar with the this next gen explorer. Thanks in advance.

Make sure you drive the vehicle and pay attention to how the transmission shifts. I drive an 06 at work and we've had transmission problems. The problem is shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. My personal car is an 04 and it shifts nice and smooth. Don't let the salesman tell you that it's suppose to shift hard.
