I need to know what the vacuum controlled heat control valve from the exhaust hooks up to on the engine on an 86 ford Bronco. Also, I have two small vacuum hoses that come off of the throttle body that are not connected to anything and I don't know where they go either. Any info provided would be greatly appreciated!!! I live in So. California and all of this stuff on my newly purchased Bronco has to be just right.....Thanks JEr
Ive found some info on the vacuum heat riser hook ups. you should have a ported vacume switch (yellow? 3 ports for vacume hose?)mine is yellow and at the thermostat. if you look close you should be able to see them labeled. #1-top, D-middle,#2-bottom. #1 should go to a vacuum source, and D should go to the heat riser. Ive been trying to figure this out myself. I'll try it this morning and let you know.
vacuum control switch, ported. one vacuum source, one when hot, and one when cold, you want the one when cold so the exuast will open up when your engine warms up. as for as the other vacuums if your talking about carb and they are ported vacs then one could go to the two ported vacuum switch and to the egr. im not sure what your talking about but i have a 87 bronco with a holley 4 which has two ported vacuums and mine the top goes to the egr, and the other to the dist vacuum advance. good luck,
