i have a 92 f150 5.8 4x4 it drives fine down the road as long as im giving it gas but as soon as i let off the gas pedal it dies.it seems to do this about 75% of the time the other 25% of the time it drives fine. any ideas on what it might be ?a sensor? any help would be great.
hopefully i did it right and this makes sense to you,if not let me know.the numbers above were as follows ,3 blinks pause 3 blinks pause 7 blinks then long pause ....therefore 337....then continued on to each next set in that same fashion until it stopped. hope this helps
thanx again for taking time to help me out

Well you did not say if a codes was KOEO, ER or Cont.
But the best I can deduct is that:
337, 327 & 334 Your EGR valve is stuck open.
452 would need more information, may be a VSS sensor or PSOM going bad.
556 you may have ran a Fuel system self test or the fuel pump relay or the pumps are getting weak.
628 you did not do the transmission test right.
Fix the EGR valve (try cleaning it) and see what happens.
Clear the codes and re-run the self-test.
I hope this helps.
sorry about not being clear on the codes i didnt notice the different codes ,koeo,cm...,until i went back and read it again.but anyways i replaced the EGR vavle and that seems to have been the problem.its running fine now with no problems besides a few other things .you guys were a great help thank you so much
