I doubt it. diesel doesn't put off vapors like gasoline does, that is why they are so abundant and DOT approved. that and gasoline will just evaporate away.
That maybe one of those things that I would call the vendor over. Heck I may even do it. You have me wondering now. I have been lookin' around for a 20-30 gal. aux tank- so the 50 is wayy too big.
I just linked a transferflow because I’ve seen one on an 04/05 F-150, but it wasn’t a toolbox combo, just a big ol’ tank. There are other companies out there like aerotank and auxtank that might have something more to your liking. I’m not sure what the OBD thing is all about… it is after all just a gas tank.
I have a 50 gal fuel/tool installed in my '72, and being it is parked and resting, I have been thinking about how to transfer it to my '05. Never had any probs with it, but been thinking about how I could do the hookups on the newer truck. And I have a shell on the truck, so would have to get a way to fill it. I like having extra fuel onboard for long trips, but maybe this is too much of a hassle. Wish the original buyer would have opted for the optional 35 gal tank instead of 27.
sorry, I meant to ask how does OBD-II apply to an in-bed fuel tank? I thought that was governed by DOT regulations.
what size bed do you have? the 6.5' can get a 37 gallong tank, and the 5.5' gets the 30 gallon tank. maybe you can go to Ford and just swap a bigger one inplace of the stocker
