Odd behavior.. Tuner guru's come here!
Ok guys... Looks like this weekend I'll be custom tuning the SCT Livewire... But my concerns are present..
I have searched this forum and several folks swear by Tuners.. Yet I get these ones who tell me careful.. I understand their concern and value their input but damn, I got 31k miles... I really do not want a dumped engine/tranny.. I'm not even pushing her that hard..
But here's my concern.. I have tried every damn tranny configuration I can think of.. Maybe it's just my ability not to understand wth this tuner does but I start fiddling with things seeing what I can do.. Probably mistake #1 there..
So the concern.. My truck runs great at granny pace (no more then 2k rpm shifting) or ***** to the wall Roll the red carpet out WOT.. But in between.. She jerks like a 6 year on a goat.. If you take off in 1st and left her shift to 2nd then say "OH CRAP!" and roll the throttle.. She bucks like a sob.. Is that a problem with my shift points I set?
I don't know.. Maybe I need to be calm and wait for Saturday when we can hook a computer up and watch everything and tweak it.. I guess the Stock Tunes only go so far?
Just don't want to trash this truck before I even start enjoying it.

Sounds like you are using the SCT "canned" tunes and not using a tune designed for your PCM code by a tuning Guru. I'd suggest leaving the shift settings as they are and if that doesn't help just stay stock till you get a tuner working with your PCM code and you to get the truck running like you want it work.
There are several tuners that are making a living with their products, they work with you to get the results YOU want; their skill and previous research are worth every penny you will spend.
