Auto 4x4 question

So I have the auto 4wd system (ESOF) and the other day after using 4 Low for a few minutes it wouldnt go back into 2wd or 4 high. I let it sit in nuetral for quite some time and nothing. So I drove around for a little bit, stopping, toggling the switch and finally it kicked out. Ive read about this in the past but couldnt find any of the old threads, All i remember is that its probly a certain sensor somewhere. (hoping I can change on my own) I dont want this happening again, so if someone could help me out it would be great. Thanks.

Mine has always been tough, but I go to neutral like you then reverse then back to neutral and it usually goes out...BTW where did you get the F350 blocks?

I only have 9k on mine I have had to let it roll back in neutral to get it out of 4 low I think the owners manual even says that.

I don't think the solenoid would be the culprit if it's working fine for 4wd high...I just have as much trouble with mine when its low...if you don't mind me asking whats the part number or cost for the blocks?
