New Guy with E4OD Transmission trouble
Hello,
I am looking for any additional information regarding the trouble I am having with my transmission. I have a '95 F150 with a 4.9L EFI with the E4OD tranny; today it began to act up at a stop light, when I release off from the break and begin to accelerate the truck jerks as if the transmission is looking for a gear but it only takes a fraction of a second before it slams into gear and takes off. Also while at a stop, I drop it manually into either first or second gear and it immediatley kills the motor, it acts like I just "dumped" the clutch. I was told by an employee at an auto parts store that it could possibly be the shifting solenoid block. Is this possible? Has anyone else experienced this problem as well?
