Idle Control Valve install... yuk!
Hey all... I just installed a Idle control valve in my 99 F250SD/SC 5.4... boy was it a pain in my everything!!!
What a crappy place to put it.... a 8mm small socket worked well and it came off ok but luckly I have alot of patience (sons 8...6...5... and I teach K-5 P.E... get the point) and small hands (no... small hands equal small gloves!!
)
I unhooked the neg battery cable to clear the code & check light and after the reinstall I went for a 30 minute drive to reset the computer...
... is that the proper procedures?
She runs like a top again!!! Job was a pain but it wouldn't feel so good to fix it if everyone could do it!!!
