Man is ceramic tiling ever a pain in the ***! I have 3-400 square feet to do, and so far im done most of it. Thank the lord for that too! Any of you fellas do your own flooring? Or am I the only renovation/moron? lol
No renovations for us well we are putting a new front door what a PITA really aggravating but we moved if renovations already done! most done in past 2 years
Welcome to my nightmare. The house is 100years old and every time I go to do a little job it turns into a 5 times more. Sort of like with a truck oh all it needs is a headlight and by the time you get to the taillight you have changed engines tranny rearend etc.
Haven't done tile on the floor yet did some hardwood last summer and it may be bathroom and kitchen this year. have to see what the good looking one has to say and how much time I have off this year. Probably not much time off. And then I want to work on the trucks when I get a chance.
Oh yeah duncan you would have alot of work with an older house like that!
I went and bought a wet tile saw, just cause it was cheap, and it sure came in handy!
Its gonna come in handy for the last time i ever lay tile, in my next house, too
man 400 sq feet? that aint nothing, we pop that off in a weekend lol. i love doing reno's, not as much as new building though. when we built our last house, my parents layed 4000 sq feet of tile, all at night, because it had to try for the workers to walk on it come morning.
if your going to do any amount of tiling, that wet saw pays for itself darn fast.
reno's are fun, the best part is tearing stuff apart!! muahaha
im in the process of redoing my front entrance... i know how to do ceramic tile... is marble the same? thats what im gonna do, but have it offset if you know what i mean?
im also tearing out a bedroom in the basement so i can have more room for my pool table/bar/air hockey table!
Offset is cool for sure. I used to work as a floorer for a few months and I learned how to do tile and carpet and laminate too. As for marble, you got me man, I have not had a chance to do any of that yet. That stuff is expensive though, really nice too.
