To me it seems like the back end of my truck could sit a little higher than it does now. So I thought about putting F350 blocks in place of the blocks already there but i heard its not as good as a spring lift. I just want to lift the back up a little bit so does this mean i need a leveling kit so i dont have to use the blocks? I heard the Donahoe Racing kit was pretty good. Can you guys steer me in the right direction.. Thanks!
A leveling kit is going to lift the front of your truck. If you are looking to raise the rear higher than it is now, then you should consider the F350 block. The prefered method would be to do an all spring style lift, but it appears you are only wanting to raise the back a little bit. If you are looking for about the same heigth as the stock F350, then by all means put one in. You will need longer u-bolts, but if it is good enough for the factory, then it will be alright for you.
It is better for liftes trucks to go with an all spring lift instead of doubling blocks, or stacking one on top of the other., 1 F-350 block will be just fine.
If you are looking to lift the entire truck, you will be very satisfied with any DR package.
By the time and all of the money you spend on a leveling kit just get a lift kit and you will be much better off. I leveled my F350 just to keep me happy until the factory warranty is over and then I will purchase Pro Comp's lift kit. After you level it you will want 4 more inches at the least!
