C-6 will not up-shift
The C-6 in my 1982 Ford Pickup 4x2 (2 wheel drive) with a 351 windsor will not up shift. I have to drop the gear lever from D to 2 to up shift into second and I do not have third. It shifted fine a year ago and it has sat un-driven since then. The trans cooler is still hooked up to the tranny; is there any externay vacume device that works with the valve body? The kickdown is hooked up, but I am consiering the possibility that it is not hooked up correctly.
