[updated:LAST EDITED ON 27-Feb-02 AT 10:46 PM (EST)] Finally got the rack from Con-Ferr in Burbank yesterday and got it mounted. I got the one-piece, 4" rack - 4.5' x 5'. Their brackets (six) were easy to mount and adjust. You have to mark the holes and then drill 1/2 inch holes to stick in the rubber 'well-nuts'. This makes for a solid, weather-proof, mounting. The brackets have pins in them so you can take off the rack if need-be, later.
The lights are 6 inch, 100 watt units I picked-up from Wal-Mart, of all places! They look beefy enought to take the bouncing around, with large rubber mounting pads inside steel washers. Running the wires inside all those plastic trim panels was the hardest part. I bought a pre-made harness with a relay and dash switch so I can have the lights come on only when the high beams are on.
Now we have extra room to carry our stuff down to Baja California and spot the cows on the road, as well!
