Question '76 Highboy????

Hey guys, I came across an old 1976 Ford F-100 4x4 390 Auto today, and I noticed that it sits high. Is there anything that I need to look at to verify that it is indeed a factory Highboy?

I think the Hiboys were F250's but some one else will be able to tell you for sure.

Incorrect on the F100 being a highboy. More than likely someone installed a lift kit of some nature. With that said, let me point you to the FAQ section and this post specifically on the High Boys.

I wouldn't take it for granted that that is a 390 either.
Most 360's turn into 390's at discussion time.

I am no expert on these old trucks yet, but the valve cover was slanted except on the end where it was flat for the PCV valve.
