ignition does not work
can someone tell me what i need to fix. to start my truck now i have to pull this little metal piece up under the dash by the pedals. when i turn the key all the way nothing happens.

what metal piece and what is it attached to is the question?

your key goes into th switch on the column,right?

i only use the key for my steering. and the piece i'm talking about was added on i think. its like a bracket with a little sliding metal piece up and down i use.

your ignition actuator broke. do a search, and you will find many references on repairing it.
