I suppose the brake hose could have a piece of the inner lining acting like a one way valve, allowing flow to caliper, but restricting flow to return side of system.

I have seen a brake hose cause a caliper to stick...but it is rare. What is going on that makes you think the caliper is sticking?

the wheel spind fine without the caliper on...as soon as the caliper is put back on and the brakes are applied the pads are pretty tight on the rotor..wheel turns hard and the hub/wheel heats up after a short ride. the hose is the only thing i havent changed yet.

Could be the brake hose but check that the pads are sliding freely in the mounts first.

You didn't get hold of an early 99 rotor or bearing cause that would be an issue. Brake line seen it once on an older car. Master cylinder no abs system maybe...NAH..

Bad pads possibly. Maybe swap them to the other side.

I know. Sometimes a pad can be bent and it will cause the same thing.. When its tight can you take a pry bar and loosen it up? You should be able to push the piston in all the way. I'm just thinking out loud...Pads too thick! Well good luck I can't wait to hear what you find...Bed time. Later

i have encountered a lot of rust inside the caliper where the pins slide. Lubing the pins didnt help, i had to put on a new caliper that didnt have pits inside the slider pin holes. I guess water got past the rubber boots. I tried new hardware first, but ended up going to NAPA for a loaded rebuilt caliper and that fixed the binding

i had spent alot of time cleaning everything before i had purchased the napa caliper, so i never even used the whole caliper/bracket...it was easier to just changed the caliper. my pins were ok to start with.. the most rust was on the pads/tabs that slide in the bracket...
update..after roadtesting today, everything is ok...i think everything just had to reseat itself or wear in again after being apart...who knows but it is releasing today..w/o changing the hoses!!
thanks guys for all your responces!
