I have been looking around alot because its getting really really close to time for a new clutch but I’m a bit lost on what’s gunna be best, I don’t need insane but I want something that will hold with future mods, thinking injectors and a bb turbo, there are so many to chose from out there what do you guys recommend
Call South Bend i am sure ther can help or carolina Clutch, both are very good and helpful. Just make sure you get the upgraded clutch fork and Kevlar pilot bearing...
I would say it depends on what you have gotten out of your last clutch. I have seen South Bend mentioned a lot, but since I got 212,000 out of my factory clutch I wasn't too worried about upgrades when I had mine replaced. If the upgrades cost any more money and you are concerned about cost spend your money on the throw out bearing. My clutch didn't actually look too bad for the mileage but the throw out bearing was my problem.
yea mine is starting to slip pretty hard under power and but its got 163k on it or at least i think its the stocker i dont know if the PO replaced it or not
I got almost 250k on my stock clutch. Actually, it was the pressure plate that wore out, the clutch still looked really good. I run Jody tunes and pull loads quite often. I put stock Ford parts back in, run me about $750 for parts.
