Hi all. I am about to replace my hand held Garmin Quest to a Pioneer AVIC-D3 head unit. Before I pluck my cabage down for this unit (on sale for $949 CAN). I need to know a little about this unit. I researched Pioneer web site and I believe it may be last years model because they give now info on this unit. If anyone out there is currently using this model I would like to here from you. I have a 2007 SD, Lariat and would like to keep my steering wheel controls.

the D3 is a new 07 model --just started shipping in Mar.

there is a wired remote input on the back of the D3--but you will need to get a
steering wheel control interface from PAC or similar.so your buttons will work
