Talking Ford ESP

I have a 2003 f350drw 4/4 KR,with just 80000kms or 50000 miles on the speedo. My warrenty (lease care) is up jun 30 07 and warrenty on engine up jun 30 08..Since i plan on keeping truch for a few yrs I am considering getting a ESP warrenty (extra care) which I can purchase for 4 yrs and or 80000kms after jun 30 2007. It will cost here in my home town 3402.00 give or take.It covers everything including injectors which basic care did not..my question has anyone else purchased this type of extended warrenty and do you think it was worth it.??It would give me till jun 30 2001 or 160000kms coverage. My wife and I are planning on a trip to Flda texas and ariz and back home here in nova scotia can this winter time frame coming..well enough of my rambling any thoughts would help...the winemaker

I believe Ed, the guy who used to do all the y2kford stuff recently left and a new guy has taken over (I think his name is ***** but I can't remember for sure). You're email might have been lost during that transition, so I would probably try again.

Oops, did you just say you were from Canada? I think they said that they can't sell them to residents of Canada, you have to get them from a Canadian dealer. I believe someone found a good deal on them up there and posted about it though. Do a search in this forum and the Super Duty forum and you should be able to find the thread.

Winemaker, I just bought my 03 about two months ago...it had 34000 miles on it and I did buy the ESP figuring IF something went wrong with it, Ford could deal with it.

I've heard and read all of the horror stories about the early 6.0s but it seems like they've fixed the issues since then. I'm really comfortable with spending the extra money...kinda like an insurance policy!

Good luck with yours!
