E-Brake not working

My e-brake cables on my 87 F-350 seem to be sezed. Is there anything I can try or do I need to just bite the bulit and buy new ones?

Other than removing the cables and letting them soak, it's bullett biting time.
I've not ever had any luck freeing up a frozen cable.
