Progress Report.

Finally some progress to report for the 66, Well in the past few days OR should I say nights I have got some things done. First I took off the old water pump and replaced it with a new one, (Checkers had the lowest price $45.00) My truck has A/C so what a Pain! When I put it back back together I used a pully that i had with 2Vs For power steering witch will be comming soon. MY truck when I bought it, It had front end damage SO the motor mounts were broke and the engine was back about 1.5 inches and over about 1 in at the back of trans. Exaust pipes were bent on one side. I think some heat and pressure will fix. Now the motor sits where it is supose to be. A few months back I had a frame horns fixed. I did kinda a test fit to see if sheet metal fit right. seems a little nose high, I dont if tightening the rad support bolts will fix door gap, just a little off, my fitting was loose bolts, Having 2 trucks is nice because when you cant remember how it goes together You can look at the other truck LOL. Thats it for now, Bill W

Hey Bill, was the frame damaged anywhere from the wreck? if you had to repair any of it or even if you did'nt, you might want to box the front section just to give it strength. Measuring and leveling takes time. One of the longest part of repairing is the test fitting you wind up doing it over and over and over. Be patient the end results will be worth it. Always glad to hear when progress is being made.
